The Tomball Potpouri reports: The historic downtown Depot in Tomball, Texas will be filled with the sound of old-style country music and the metallic ping of flying washers as the City presents the annual Tomball Honky Tonk Music Festival and Two-Step Washers Tournament on Saturday, March 21.
Texas honky tonkers Jeff Woolsey & the Dancehall Kings are scheduled to headline the annual festival with the hard-core, honky tonk shuffle sound that they call their own; a sound that continues to make them one of the hottest bands on the Lone Star dancehall circuit.
Festival guests will two-step to the sound of hard-wood dancefloor favorites, Doug Boggs & the Cowboy Jazz Band, along with a special performance by the darlin’ of Texas county music, Miss Leslie.
Rounding out the bill this year will be local favorites Jim Sloan & his Country All-Stars. Joining the Country All-Stars this year are Bobby Whitten and Kevin Carter. Over the years Whitten has toured with country legends such as Tammy Wynette and Dottie West, while Carter has been a regular with performers such as Johnny Bush, Gene Watson and more for many years.
