The luck of the Irish is coming to FM 1960 this Sunday, March 15, ironically, making traffic there even more unlucky than usual. However, if you have the good luck to be a parade attendee or participant, this is fabulous news. If you were planning to drive that direction though … change your plans, don something green, and join the party instead. Just don’t forget to wear green. We will pinch.
Bryan Kirk reports: “More than 100,000 visitors are expected to line parts of FM 1960 this weekend for the 37th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. As many as 150 floats and parade entries are expected to take part in this year’s annual parade, which starts at 2 p.m. Sunday.”
The parade will at 2:00 PM at the Wells Fargo parking lot at Champions Forest Drive and FM 1960. It ends at The Concert Pub North at the corner of FM 1960 and Kuykendahl. To prepare for the big event, the FM 1960 will officially close at 1:00 PM, and (if all goes as planned) will reopen around 5:00.
Proceeds from the parade will benefit Cypress Creek EMS.
