Completion of construction on Creekview Elementary, Wildwood Elementary, and Oakcrest Intermediate has been delayed by all the rain the area is getting. While no doubt the local frogs, ducks, and turtles are quite pleased, it’s causing Tomball ISD something of a headache, as move-in dates keep getting pushed back.
Bryan Kirk reports: Gary Hutton, Tomball ISD’s director of construction, told trustees that the opening of Creekview Elementary in The Woodlands has been delayed by six weeks, while Wildwood Elementary and Oakcrest Intermediate have been delayed by two to three weeks.
“This will not significantly impact the opening of the schools,” Hutton said.
Still, with a new move-in date of mid-July, it’s a sure thing that teachers will be anxious to get their offices and classrooms set up. Who wants to bet every kid who reads this article is going to pray for more rain?
