This should be a blaring wake up call for all parents! A professional prankster recently teamed up with the parents of some young teenage girls to demonstrate the danger of social media, and the naivety of many adolescents.
Coby Persin (who is 21) posed on Facebook as a teenage boy, and after only 2 or 3 days easily arranged face to face encounters with three girls as young as 12. One girl jumped into a windowless cargo van with him without a second thought, while another planned to let him sneak into her house after she thought her dad had gone to bed.
None of the parents believed their daughters would be so foolish as to fall for such a prank. All of the parents were wrong.
After the girls were informed that the whole thing was a prank, they were chastised sharply by horrified parents, who scolded, “You could have been kidnapped,” and “You could have been raped and murdered!” One dad cried, “We already lost your momma. What would I do if anything happened to you?”
Coby urges viewers to share the video with their friends and family so that more people can be made aware of the serious danger of naive kids, and wily perverts.
