Tomball, TX — At their Monday, January 16 meeting, Tomball City Council approved the master plan for the Texas Railroading Heritage Museum. This officially gives The Gulf Coast Chapter of The National Railway Historical Society the green light to begin fundraising, more detailed planning, and construction.
The museum will be built adjacent to the city’s existing Railroad Depot, Plaza, and Gazebo in Tomball’s downtown historic district on property purchased by the city for that purpose.
Historic railroad passenger and freight cars, locomotives and other artifacts owned by Gulf Coast Chapter of The National Railway Historical Society will be displayed at the new museum.
The Master Plan of the museum will be available to the public on a new museum website, which will be launched in February. We look forward to reporting more when it’s up!
