Texas Cop Shot In Las Vegas Festival Massacre Saves Others

Mere hours before the sound of automatic gunfire range out, Missouri City, Texas police officer, Bruce Ure, snapped a photo of the crowds at SiriusXM Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Last day of the festival!” he posted, at 4:04 PM on October 1. “Great times.”

“I am OK,” Bruce posted at 3:51 AM on Monday, October 2. “I caught a piece of bullet shrapnel on my hand but minor. The shooter was 22 floors directly above our room. Rounds hitting the ground all around us. I am guessing 400-500 rounds. Maybe more. Sounded like a war zone.”

It’s no doubt a blessing that Bruce was on scene in Las Vegas. Despite his wounds, the Texas cop managed to use a tourniquet to save the life of one victim with a severed artery. Then, he commandeered a car to drive additional victims to a nearby hospital.

“He was supposed to be flying back to Seguin this morning,” said Morgan Ash, Public Information Officer at City of Seguin, “but he isn’t able to get his belongings out of his hotel room, so he is taking a later flight.”

Bruce is expected to arrive home from Las Vegas later today.

As the death toll continues to rise into the 50’s, personalities such as Jimmy Kimmel and Hillary Clinton have already begun calling for stricter gun control laws via social media.

According to the NRA, no state permit is required to purchase or possess a rifle, shotgun or handgun in Las Vegas. However, it is illegal to conceal-carry any firearm without a permit. Open carry is legal in Nevada, and it is also legal to own, buy, or sell a registered machine gun or silencer.

It is yet unclear whether the shooter, Stephen Paddock, 64, legally or illegally carried the firearms in his possession. In addition to what sounds like a machine gun fire on videos, Paddock was armed with about 10 rifles.

“This individual was a lone wolf,” said Clark County Sheriff, Joseph Lombardo. “I don’t know how it could have been prevented. We didn’t have any prior knowledge of this individual. It wasn’t evident that he had any weapons in his room. We have determined that there have been employees going to and fro in his room, and nothing nefarious was natives at that point.”

Rumors are swirling around the now infamous Nevada resident. ISIS has taken credit for converting Paddock to their psychotic genre of Islam, and inciting him to massacre Americans. However, the FBI has recommended caution, stating that there is as yet no proof to back up ISIS claims that Paddock had been radicalized.

What we do know is he had a penchant for gambling, and whether he showed it outwardly or not, was a profoundly evil person. The Paddock family has a broken past. His father, Benjamin Paddock, was once on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list for multiple bank robberies.

Paddock reportedly used a hammer to bust the windows out on his 32nd floor room at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas before he opening fire. Having committed suicide before police could reach him, Paddock has now come face to face with God.

So far, the loss of life incurred by this evil man is around 60 people, with over 500 in the hospital for varying degrees of injury.//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js
